Altrusa is an international non-profit organization making our local communities better through leadership, partnership, and service.
Our club offers an opportunity to make a real difference in SEACOAST ME. We undertake a variety of service, literacy, fundraising and international projects each year.
We are seeking new volunteers to join our organization and make a difference. Our members are from varying occupations and lifestyles, all sharing an interest in community service and enjoying the friendship, fun and satisfaction that comes from working together for the benefit of others.

Volunteered at York Art Youth Camp; Snack bags to York Hospital during Covid; Made blankets for the homeless; Lydia's House of Hope Memorial Garden; No Sew Fleece Blankets for Salvation Army and Food Pantry; Serve at Annual Ecumenical Meal; Trick or Treat bags for students at Birchtree; Teddy Bears to York Food Pantry and Pease Greeters who welcome military coming home
Literacy Projects
Made Literacy Bags for Preschool; Recorded readings and gave books to students at Birchtree Center; Books to residents of Dover Children's Home; Baby Gifts and Books to Lydia's House of Hope; make Valentines with Autistic Children

Donation to York Art Camp; Support Haven Domestic Violence Shelter; Annual Calendar Raffle Fundraiser;
