Altrusa International of Portland, ME

Altrusa is an international non-profit organization making our local communities better through leadership, partnership, and service.

Our club offers an opportunity to make a real difference in PORTLAND, ME. We undertake a variety of service, literacy, fundraising and international projects each year.

We are seeking new volunteers to join our organization and make a difference. Our members are from varying occupations and lifestyles, all sharing an interest in community service and enjoying the friendship, fun and satisfaction that comes from working together for the benefit of others.

Bags of Hope to Milestone Foundation; Volunteer of the Year Award; Maintenance of Barron Center Gardens; Christmas Party Food Collection; Sue's Monthly meal at Ronald McDonald House; Cookie Walk at BAM; Winter coats for Vets;

Literacy Projects

ABC-books to kindergarten; Books behind Bars; Books to children at summer meal programs and Girls and Boys clubs; Books and Bubbles; Food Fuels Learning book giveaway; Literacy Christmas Tree; Book Blizzard; Cricket Comfort Book and Pillowcase Project

Donations to Camp Sunshine; Empty Bowl Supper for Project FEED
